The home of the Vrije Academie is a magnificent building on the Herengracht: Huis Vasari. Well, actually, it's two magnificent buildings. Did you know that numbers 366 and 368 were simultaneously constructed in 1660-1662 by the Cromhout family? The Dutch classicist style was designed by the architect Philip Vingboons. The historic residential areas such as the large lounge, garden rooms and old kitchens are reminders of this past. Huis Vasari is a place where, in addition to lecture halls, an exhibition space, and a café, we also highlight the history of this beautiful building.
