From New Look to Raf Simons.
In honour of the 70th anniversary of fashion label Christian Dior, his most beautiful creations will be exhibited in Musée des Arts decoratifs in Paris during the exhibition Christian Dior. With around 300 items it will be a must see for all fashion lovers! In this lecture Carien Kanters will illustrate the importance of this fashion designer for the fashion world.
Couturier Christian Dior (1905-1957) launched his first collection in 1947 and it was an instant hit and known as the “New Look”. The next ten years his designs ruled the international fashion market. Since 1967 other great names were head of the luxury fashion house: Yves Saint Laurent, John Galliano and Raf Simons. All in their own way but always with the great Dior in mind.
