Queues in London, Amsterdam anticipating. Matisse on tour. The Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam brings you the biggest Matisse retrospective in 60 years. The Parakeet and the Mermaid from the museums own collection will be accompanied by many other Cut-out works, paintings, and very rare fabrics and glass pieces, the works of an artist who was continuously researching new ways to express maximum joy with minimal means. Our lecturer Carien Kanters is a great fan of Henri Matisse (1869-1954) and will tell you all about his amazing work.
